One organization has championed the growth of America's Vent-Free gas products industry. This organization is the Vent-Free Gas Products Alliance.

The Vent-Free Gas Products Alliance is a coalition of members of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association's (GAMA's) Vent-Free Gas Products Division. The Alliance exists to assure that current markets are preserved and that barriers are removed in all trade areas for future growth of the industry. The outcome is increased use and sales of vent-free gas heating products and that consumers are informed about the benefits of using these products. The Alliance is responsible for the continued success of Vent-Free gas products in the U.S. with annual sales in excess of 1 million units. Because of their proven track record, Vent-Free gas products are now accepted in most states.

For more that 15 years, RCEI has been managing the Vent-Free Gas Products Alliance, a coalition of manufacturers of vent-free gas appliances who are members of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), formerly the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA).  This group’s purpose is to preserve markets by working with building and mechanical code groups, fire departments, building inspectors, health departments and government agencies, as well as consumers.
